Sir David Glenny (Glennie) a belted knight who resided in Ayrshire, Scotland around 1600. The Glennys were connected with the Earl of Cassilis (Marquess of Ailsa's) Family. Sir David Glenny removed to Armagh, Northern Ireland and later to Glenville (now Glenvale) named for him, near Newry/Neury, during the 1st Ulster Plantation. (JEB)
